Here Are Your October PlayStation Plus Games 13 May 202229 September 2021 by Joshua Boyles As rumoured earlier in the week, Sony has officially confirmed the free games on PlayStation Plus for the month of October. We previously reported that Mortal Kombat X, PGA Tour 2K21, and Hell Let Loose would be coming to the PlayStation Plus service this month. It appears that those leaks were true as Sony has officially confirmed that those will be the free games to redeem in October. For many players, this will be a step up over last month’s offerings of Overcooked, Hitman 2, and Predator: Hunting Grounds. While decent games, the September offerings were far from new. Mortal Kombat X isn’t the newest entry to the Mortal Kombat series, but it’s still one of the best. Released in 2015, the game was received resoundingly well, achieving a score of 83% on Metacritic. Sadly, it looks like we’re only getting the standard edition of the game here. That means you’ll have to shell out a little extra if you want to experience some of the stellar additional characters. Also on the list is PGA Tour 2K21. This sports game from 2K offers an excellent game of Golf in the second game in the series to include the PGA Tour license. It features a career mode that lets you play against depictions of the real pros in the FedExCup Championship. If you’d rather hit the green with some pals, there’s a multiplayer offering here, too.ADVERT ADVERT Last up, Hell Let Loose takes the PS5 slot for this month. It’s a tactical WW2 shooter that requires much more thought and precision than Call of Duty or Battlefield. 50v50 battles take place across several theatres of war, involving infantry, tanks, and artillery.
