Silent Hill has been rated in Korea is an announcement pending 26 September 2022 by Richard Breslin Silent Hill has been rated in Korea, so could this mean that an announcement for Konami’s iconic survival horror series is on the way? At this point, it’s practically impossible to not roll your eyes at the mere mention of a Silent Hill announcement. It seems that with every major video game convention, rumours of the small foggy town returning are never far away.ADVERT ADVERT Could this be promising Silent Hill news As reported by Gematsu, the game rating and administration committee of Korea has rated the currently announced “Silent Hill: The Short Message”. Some Silent Hill rumours claimed that multiple projects are in the works. We’ve also heard rumours of a Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team, as well as stories of a reboot. The reboot in question is rumoured to be dubbed “Project Sakura” with some believing that this could be a fifth-numbered entry.ADVERT ADVERT However, another Silent Hill project is said to be inspired by Telltale Games, responsible for The Walking Dead adaptation, a popular episodic franchise. The rumours of a Silent Hill episodic game were courtesy of renowned video game leaker, Aesthetic Gamer. ADVERT ADVERT Let’s say that this Silent Hill episodic game has several episodes. The title “Short Message” seems like it could be a perfect name for a single episode. However, I could be wrong. Furthermore, the Korean rating for the Silent Hill title is listed under UNIANA. According to Gematsu, this is a company that has regularly published for Konami in Korea including franchises such as the recent free-to-play, eFootball. So, that adds some validity to the rumours.ADVERT ADVERT Take rumours with a pinch of salt Credit: Konami Naturally, we must take all rumours with a pinch of salt. That being said, however, it could be promising news that Silent Hill is being rated in some regions. However, “The Short Message” could also just end up being another Silent Hill: Book of Memories. Yet instead of releasing on PS Vita, it could be a mobile title instead of a major AAA release. Are you excited by this recent rating in Korea?
