Metal Gear Solid trilogy is reportedly getting new remasters 2 September 2022 by Richard Breslin Metal Gear Solid, the original trilogy, is reportedly getting new remasters. That’s at least according to recent reports. As reported by VGC, Chinese studio Virtuos is said to be working on a new version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. MGS3 has been ported for PC, PS2, and OG Xbox as well as a remaster for the Nintendo 3DS. This won t be the first Metal Gear Solid remasters MGS3: Snake Eater has also been included in the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. This is a collection of remasters which were released for multiple platforms and also included MGS2 as well as MGS: Peace Walker. Furthermore, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is currently a backwards compatible Xbox title.ADVERT ADVERT However, interestingly, the new rumoured remasters are said to include the original trilogy. At this time, it doesn’t seem clear whether the new remasters would include the PS1 version of MGS or the 2004 Nintendo GameCube remake, Twin Snakes. Credit: Konami Metal Gear Solid rumours are 100% true Backing up reports from VGC is reliable leaker, AestheticGamer on Twitter. “VGC talks about Metal Gear Solid 1-3 Remasters (not remakes), new remastered versions,” said AestheticGamer. “I know that to be 100% true, I had heard that for a fact (and not surprised I’m not the only one who.” (2/2) heard about it), I've had it from an 100% source and not. The plan is to release the three remasters seperately, but also together as a collection (where also get the MSX versions of Metal Gear 1+2 if buy together).
