Horizon Forbidden West patch adds balanced graphics mode and VRR 7 July 2022 by Richard Breslin A new patch for Horizon Forbidden West adds a “balanced” graphics mode and VRR, features that have been long requested by fans. The balanced graphics mode offers a great compromise between fidelity and performance for 40Hz for compatible TVs. Furthermore, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) has also been implemented bringing dynamic resolution scaling at 60Hz. HFW looks and plays better than ever However, that is not all, because the patch also brings High Refresh Rate (HFR) too. Meaning that as long as you have a compatible TV, you can now play Horizon Forbidden West with VRR as well as HFR with a target refresh rate between 60Hz and 120Hz.ADVERT ADVERT Additionally, Patch 1.7 will also make various quality of life improvements, as well as fixing a number of reported bugs and issues, related to quests, combat and more.
