Dragon s Dogma Player Numbers Peak Following Sequel Announcement 21 June 2022 by Richard Breslin Capcom’s RPG, Dragon’s Dogma has had its best player peak since 2016 following the announcement of its sequel. After waiting a whole decade, Dragon’s Dogma 2 was finally announced last week during a Capcom Showcase. Sadly, we weren’t treated to any gameplay. Though we did learn that it will be developed using the RE Engine. This is the same engine that has powered the likes of the recent Resident Evil games as well as DMC5. According to SteamDB, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen has recently peaked at 6,582 concurrent players.ADVERT ADVERT Dragon s Dogma is proving popular once more Sure, this might not seem a lot, but only last week, Capcom’s RPG was below 2,000 in terms of concurrent players. Furthermore, at the time of writing, there are currently just under 3,500 gamers exploring Lestania right now. Not to be confused with the original game of 2012, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen was a fairly low-effort remaster that came bundled with the Dark Arisen expansion. Following its launch in 2016, the game peaked at 27, 368 concurrent players.
