As noticed by several players, Respawn seemed to accidentally upload the character’s “Stories from the Outlands” video early, which gives players some backstory about the upcoming hero. An image promoting the video appeared in the Apex Legends client, although no players have reported actually being able to watch the video so far. The image has been removed from the client. Named Vantage, the next hero will include a “winged companion” according to the information and will be primarily a ranged character, making use of a sniper rifle. It’s unclear if the project is related to the unannounced single-player project Respawn first confirmed it was working on last year.
