The publisher announced The Division Heartland in May 2021, when it said development of the “standalone experience” was being led by Red Storm Entertainment for release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Players can sign up for future closed tests at thedivisiongame.com. “This standalone free-to-play The Division game introduces new playable characters in a rural setting, far from the events in New York and Washington D.C. Silver Creek was once a pleasant town in the American Midwest, but it was left in ruins following the spread of the Dollar Flu,” Ubisoft said. Meanwhile, registrations are now open for the upcoming closed beta for The Division Resurgence, a new free-to-play, third-person shooter RPG mobile game coming to Android and iOS mobile devices. Players in the closed beta will have a chance to participate in familiar PvP modes including the popular Dark Zone, and Conflict, a PvP mode featured in The Division 2. Ubisoft released the first in-game footage of The Division Resurgence in July.
