The show is being created by Takashi Miike and Shinya Sugai from Sublimation (Dragon’s Dogma), with Musashi Miyamoto modelled after Toshiro Mifune, the late Japanese actor famous for his many Samurai movie roles. No release date was given, but Netflix did provide a brief synopsis for the series. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Official TrailerSubscribe to VGC on YouTube “The beginning of the Edo period, Musashi is no longer a young man. He departs with the legendary Oni Gauntlet to defeat the Genma. 3D CGI characters and hand-drawn backgrounds create phenomenal visuals. Onimusha is given a new life using modern-day animation technology.” The Onimusha series was developed by Capcom, with the first game in the series, Onimusha: Warlords, releasing in 2001. The series saw consistent releases in the early 2000s, however, in recent years the series has been largely dormant outside of a remake of the first game in 2019. The series follows figures and battles from Japanese history, with the early games being based largely on the Sengoku period. The games are mostly action-adventure titles. The first game in the series, Onimusha: Warlords was received warmly at the time by critics, with the PS2 version achieving a 86 on review aggregator Metacritic. 2 Comments Related VGC Content Sonic Frontiers will get free Monster Hunter DLC shortly after launch3 hours ago Street Fighter 6 beta codes have now been sent out5 days ago Core Cyberpunk 2077 team members ‘ are moving to the US’ to lead sequel studio6 days ago Horizon Forbidden West actor appears to tease DLC plans in since-deleted tweet1 week ago Popular Now on VGC1 Harley Quinn voice actor criticises Chris Pratt Mario casting ‘ It should be Charles’ 2 Phil Spencer could be teasing Xbox s game streaming device in a new office photo3 Modern Warfare 2 will seemingly require a phone number like Overwatch 24 Interview How PlatinumGames is betting on Nintendo expertise to shape its future5 Platinum thinks hiring of Nintendo veteran can take the companies relationship to the next level More Video Game News2 GTA 6 hack UK police confirm they ve charged teenager linked with breachThe 17-year-old was reportedly also involved in a cyber attack on Uber and others2 weeks ago2 Comments1 US PlayStation shipments were reportedly up 400% last monthPS5 supply appears to be increasing as Christmas approaches1 hour ago1 Comment Overwatch 2 servers down for some as Blizzard removes two heroes temporarilyThe game's rocky launch has caused much fan frustration2 hours ago4 BlazBlue creator Toshimichi Mori has left developer Arc System Works"I know this may cause anxiety, especially for BlazBlue users.
