In a press release, the company stated that “the overall goal is to boost creativity and ensure the highest level of quality in the execution and delivery of Ubisoft’s games”. Ubisoft is seeking to move away from “a centralised organization to better support the key segments of Ubisoft’s portfolio strategy”. Following Igor’s departure, senior vice president of studio operations Marie-Sophie de Waubert will temporarily take over management of the Creative Office to ensure a smooth transition across teams and projects. “In a fast-moving industry, it’s essential that we continue to adapt,” Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot said. “I am grateful for Igor’s contribution to refining Ubisoft’s creative approach and for his commitment to bringing fresh ideas that level up the way we create. “An exemplary leader, Igor has set the foundations for a new organization that will allow Ubisoft to successfully deliver on its content strategy, with new processes and clearer roles and responsibilities.” Further reading Ubisoft announces playtest for new session-based co-op shooter Project U The game sees “players unite to prevail against an overwhelming threat” The previously rumoured but unofficially announced Far Cry 6 Game of the Year Edition is out now priced at $119.99 / £99.99.
