Apex Legends players may miss out on six mobile-exclusive legends The Loadout The Loadout Apex Legends players may miss out on six mobile-exclusive legends There’s already one mobile-exclusive legend out there, but leakers think Apex Legends players on console and PC will miss out on another six playable legends Kyle Wilson Published: Jul 1, 2022 06:08 ET Apex Legends With the introduction of Newcastle in Season 13, dubbed Saviors, Apex Legends players can enjoy Respawn Entertainment's incredible battle royale with over 20 different playable legends – each with their own unique abilities, animations, appearance, and voice lines. However, that isn't to say Apex Legends players on PC and console get to enjoy everything Respawn Entertainment has to offer. Apex Legends Mobile already has one mobile-exclusive playable legend, Fade, and leakers reckon there are at least another six to come. Recently shared on Reddit by user 'RChacon09', but seemingly originating from 'Leakers on Duty', data miners have delved into Apex Legends Mobile's files and found 14 legends that are expected to be added in future updates. Of these 14, eight of them are already available in the console and PC version of Apex Legends – including Wattson, Horizon, Valkyrie, and Rampart. However, there are six that the leakers believe to be mobile-exclusive legends. Ahead of any official announcements, these six are known as: DJ (aka, Rhapsody), Spider, Amphere, Monkey King, Botanist, and Seeker. It's important to note that these are codenames and may not be the final names of any future Apex Legends or Apex Legends Mobile playable characters. At the moment, it's important to note that there isn't any evidence that these legends aren't also in development for the console and PC version of Apex Legends – however, it doesn't seem likely given the major set of Apex Legends character leaks from back in March 2022. This leak revealed possible details about eight upcoming playable Apex Legends characters – one of which was the recently-added Newcastle. The other names were: Uplink, Vantage, Catalyst, Phantom, Jester, Caliber, and Scryer. Of all these names, as you can see in the Apex Legends Mobile leak below, none of them match up. Mo-Apex Legends is getting all these exclusive legends… why can't we? from apexlegends So, what does this actually mean? Well, it means that, like Fade, Apex Legends Mobile players can probably look forward to more mobile-exclusive legends in the future – characters that have been designed specifically for the platform. There's no telling whether, in the future, these legends will find their way onto the console and PC version of Apex Legends. However, it seems unlikely given Respawn Entertainment's comments on Fade. Despite the developer switching between "mobile-first" and "mobile-exclusive" when referring to Apex Legends Mobile content, it is widely understood that Fade has been developed specifically for the platform and there aren't any plans to introduce them to the PC and console version of the game. As for the rest of the legends on the list above? Who knows, right now. Still, that doesn't mean there isn't a lot to look forward to if you're an Apex Legends player.
