After the sinister theme of battling one's inner demons with Season of the Haunted, Season of Plunder looks to switch things up a bit with a riotous treasure hunt across the solar system with a pirate-y theme. Season of Plunder also puts the focus back on Eramis, who has been thawed out to cause chaos once again. She has turned to a legion of space pirates to help her find "lost relics of great power". Your job is to beat her to it. There are three new pirate-themed activities to partake in – Expeditions, Pirate Hideouts, and Ketchcrash – the latter of which is a Sea of Thieves-style ship battles. There are also some tasty new Exotic weapons on the way, including a delightful-looking new Fusion Rifle called Delicate Tomb. You can get a full breakdown of Season 18 in the trailer below.
