Modern Warfare 2 beta Activision has confirmed that there will be a Modern Warfare 2 beta at some point before launch, as early access to it is one of the benefits of grabbing a Modern Warfare 2 preorder. This will be a free open beta, and according to some small print on the Call of Duty website, will last a minimum of two days. Modern Warfare 2 beta early access You can get early access to the Modern Warfare 2 beta by pre-ordering any version of the game. When you decide to drop some cash on a Modern Warfare 2 pre-order, you'll be automatically granted early access to the Open Beta on the same platform you made the purchase. If you pre-ordered through a third-party retailer, you'll be sent a code that you can redeem to grant you open beta access. Full details on how to do that can be found here. Modern Warfare 2 beta dates As revealed on the official Call of Duty website, the beta for Modern Warfare 2 will run from September 16-17 for PlayStation early access, and September 18-20 for all PlayStation players. Then, the full crossplay beta for early access will run from September 22-23 and open to all players from September 24-26.
