Progress made during this period will not be carried over to the full game once the campaign co-op arrives. However, when it does properly launch, individual progress within the campaign will carry over between co-op and non-co-op playthroughs and cross-play will be supported. While you won't be tethered at the hip, you will need to stay within about 300 meters of one another.
