Here is how to unlock all the different characters in the game: How to unlock Merlin Melin is unlocked as soon as you begin the game as he is the first character you meet in your Dreamlight Valley as a part of the story How to unlock Goofy Goofy is available straight away in your village. You can begin ranking up your friendship with him as soon as you grab the fishing rod location and begin the Fishing Expedition quest. How to unlock Scrooge McDuck Scrooge McDuck is unlocked by simply talking to him as soon as you begin the game. He is automatically a part of your village.
