Breaking NewsCricketSports News ICC T20I WC 2022 Chetan Sakariya & Mukesh Choudhary Likely To Travel With Indian Side To Australia By Sayanta Sengupta - October 3, 2022 63 FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp The ICC T20I World Cup is around the corner and teams are gearing up to give their best in the marquee and prestigious tournament. The Indian team has picked up a strong and potent squad and features some top-class players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. India continues with its tradition of sending some net bowlers with the side so that the main bowlers don’t get worn out and the batters can get enough practice in the nets. The net bowlers can also replace the main bowlers in the squad if someone gets injured. They serve as backup players and could be drafted on to the main side at any time. According to a report in Sportstar, Chetan Sakariya and Mukesh Choudhary will be travelling with the Indian contingent on October 6. The Indian team is going early so that they get enough time to get acclamatized to the conditions in Austalia. Notably, the pitches in Australia are bouncy tracks and there also is a lot of swing. The grounds are big in Australia and they facilitate the spinners. Earlier, reports surfaced that Mohammad Siraj and Umran Malik would be traveling reserves and would act as backup players. The apex body of Indian cricket, the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) is yet to announce any decision. India lock horns with Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
