CricketSports News IND vs SA Tickets For 2nd T20I Completely Sold Out 38 000 Fans To Attend By Sayanta Sengupta - October 1, 2022 56 FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp India presently is locking horns with South Africa in a 3-match T20I series. This is India’s final international T20I assignment before they play in the all-important ICC T20I World Cup 2022. India will be crossing swords with arch-rivals Pakistan on 23rd October. The 1st T20I between India and South Africa at Thiruvananthapuram witnessed an electrifying atmosphere and fans had a great experience as India won the game comfortably by 8 wickets. The 2nd T20I will be taking place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati and it is expected to be house full. Assam Cricket Association’s (ACA) secretary Devajit Saikia said that they would be expecting a full house at the stadium for the 2nd T20I, to PTI. “We are expecting a full house. Out of about 38,000 seats, 21,200 were for the general public and the tickets were sold online in two phases. The tickets were sold out in no time,” said Saikia to PTI. “The fact that the ticket sale was completely transparent ensured that genuine lovers of the game will get an opportunity to watch their favourite players in action. There is unprecedented enthusiasm among them,” Saikia added. The match coincides with the ongoing Durga Puja festival which is extremely popular in the eastern section of India. The match that will be played on Sunday is Shoptomi, according to Bengali rituals and traditions. The last match that was played in the Barsapara Cricket Stadium was way back in January 2020 and it was completely washed out. Led by Temba Bavuma, South Africa would be eager to stage a comeback in this T20I to level the series.
