Like most athletes, the 23-time Grand Slam champion occasionally loses her cool in the heat of competition, which is understandable. Radio host Eric Bickel lauded Williams' achievements, but stoked controversy when he described the American as a sore loser. Fans on social media were quick to jump to Williams' defense while singling out the radio host for his comments. Many compared Williams to Tom Brady, whose fiery actions on the field have often been called "competitive" and pointed out the double standards that exist. Wii-Yum@MrGee54Nah. She just Black. Yall condition yourselves to slight Black folks at any turn. Any little thing "turns yall off". Tom Brady throws tantrums & breaks tablets but that's just him being "competitive". John McEnroe's whole career was a tantrum but he just wanted to win right? twitter.com/EBJunkies/stat…Eric Bickel@EBJunkiesSerena was often a sore sport and a very ungracious loser. When she wins she's awesome. She just always rubbed me the wrong way. She's the greatest of all time though. No doubt. I just never cared for her. :)156574024Serena was often a sore sport and a very ungracious loser. When she wins she's awesome. She just always rubbed me the wrong way. Get in the locket rooms or training sessions. Serena was authentic, she did not pretend. And you never saw all the ungracious comments and acts at the net she endured in her career. Brady led the league in both passing categories at the age of 44 last season. He's entering his 23rd season in the NFL and third with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Williams, meanwhile, will likely call it a career after the US Open, where she is chasing a record-equaling 24th Grand Slam crown. Also Checkout:- Tom Brady v. George Blanda Comparing Serena Williams achievements to Tom Brady s Brady with the Lombardi Trophy (l) and Williams with the Australian Open trophy (r) Serena's 23 Grand Slam singles titles include seven apiece at Wimbledon and the Australian Open, six at the US Open, and three at the French Open. Serena has also won 14 Major doubles crowns partnering with sister Venus. Tom Brady, meanwhile, has won seven Super Bowls, the most by any player in NFL history. His 10 Super Bowl appearances are also the most of all time. He holds the all-time record for career passing yards and passing touchdowns with 84,520 and 624 respectively. He's widely considered the greatest quarterback in NFL history. As for Serena, her place in tennis history has been cemented, but she has arguably had a much harder route to the top. All things considered, her and Brady's competitiveness made them the greatest in their respective sports and that shouldn't be overlooked.
