Goff will appear on HBO's Hard Knocks for the third time this season after appearing in 2016 and 2020 with the Los Angeles Rams. The Lions also had some good luck in the draft. They selected Michigan star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting. The questions over Goff's future still persist, though. Goff doesn't quite profile as a high-level, franchise-altering quarterback. The Lions still don't have a quarterback to groom in that mold. Meanwhile, depth in the the defensive unit is also a problem. Interestingly, the Lions are the only NFL team without a primetime game this season.
