The Mets took their first game with a score of 8-2, but the offense went quiet in Game 2, losing to the Phillies 4-1. Some fans felt it was a pathetic showing by the offense. While the offense did go cold tonight, the team did manage to split the doubleheader on the road. The Mets were still able to split the doubleheader and have taken two out of three to start the series. The Mets and Phillies will square off, once again, this series with the first pitch scheduled for 1:35 PM EDT. Jose Butto will get the start on the mound for the Mets. This will be Butto's MLB debut as he has posted a 6-6 record with a 4.12 ERA in the minor league this season.
