Student Pathways
About the Program
The Student Pathways Program offers 11th and 12th grade high school students who have an interest in a healthcare career a unique opportunity to take the first step in their professional life. Participants in the program gain exposure to a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical healthcare careers. Through direct interaction with current Cleveland Clinic caregivers, students will explore the world of opportunity available to them in the healthcare field. This includes direct-to-employment positions, which can be available immediately after graduating high school. Not only will participants learn about careers through virtual workshops and onsite observations, students will also receive skills training directly from our Talent Acquisition Team. Topics covered include: Resume writing Interview skills Personal branding Participation in this six-week education experience allows students to explore career possibilities while successfully preparing for their post-graduation journey. Financial incentives are available for participants who successfully complete all Student Pathways Program requirements.
Requirements
To participate in the Student Pathways Program, students must: Be an 11th or 12th grade student at the time of application. Be a U.S. citizen, non-citizen national or legal permanent resident. Be interested in healthcare careers with a clinical, non-clinical or business focus. Obtain the agreement of parents, guardians or caregivers to participate in assessments and educational forums Have Wi-Fi, internet, or hotspot capabilities; access to a desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet/iPad or cell phone; and have the Zoom and Microsoft Teams apps downloaded. Attest or provide proof of having received the following health immunizations during the onboarding process: COVID-19 vaccine, proof of documentation required Negative tuberculosis screening: two-step Mantoux test (TB test), QuantiFERON®-TB Gold test, or T-Spot test within one year before the student experience. Tdap booster within the past 10 years, proof of documentation required Measles (rubeola) immunization Mumps immunization German Measles (rubella) immunization Chickenpox (varicella) immunization Hepatitis B immunization or signed waiver Influenza immunization For additional information please email

College Shadowing Experiences
About the Program
CYCE's college shadowing experiences help college students who are interested in shadowing a healthcare professional for a defined time. Our Shadowing Program allows students to gain visual and verbal experiences in either their field of study or another area of interest. Shadowing students can receive up to 1 week or 40 hours of shadowing within a year. Students are able to shadow three areas within that time frame. If a student is in need of required shadowing hours that exceeds 40 hours, accommodations may be granted upon review. Please note, shadowing experiences are observational and do not include hands-on work with Cleveland Clinic patients or data.
Requirements
To participate in a college shadowing experience students must: Attest or provide proof of having received the following health immunizations and complete a background check (18 and over only) during the onboarding process: COVID-19 vaccine, proof of documentation required Negative tuberculosis screening: two-step Mantoux test (TB test), QuantiFERON®-TB Gold test, or T-Spot test within one year before the student experience.
