Caregiver Grants

Everything starts with an idea.

Helping You Make an Impact

Now we’re making it even easier for caregivers to apply for funding for innovative ideas. Cleveland Clinic caregivers are full of innovative ideas to improve care for our patients and communities. There are many granting programs across the enterprise available to provide funding to bring these ideas to life. Whether you have an idea for a new patient program, a novel medical technology, or a way to improve care coordination, there are caregivers who want to hear about it and donors who want to help make it possible. The philanthropy-funded caregiver grant programs below offer competitions to apply for seed funding to get your idea off the ground. Here's how and when you can apply: Winter Cycle The Philanthropy Institute, Cleveland Clinic Innovations, and Lerner Research Institute offer a single application process each winter for their granting programs. You can submit one application to apply for these three programs: Caregiver Catalyst Grants Catalyst SPARK Award The Hickey Innovation Impact Award All caregivers are invited to apply here. Upon submission, proposals are eligible for all three funding opportunities. A screening committee will determine which program your project is best suited for based on your area of focus, requested funding amount, and other factors. For the Catalyst SPARK Award, you MUST submit an Invention Disclosure Form (IDF) to Innovations. Summer Cycle The Philanthropy Institute, Cleveland Clinic Innovations, and Lerner Research Institute and VeloSano host a second competition each summer for: Caregiver Catalyst Grants Catalyst SPARK Award VeloSano Pilot Awards All caregivers interested in applying for a VeloSano Pilot Award are invited to apply here. All caregivers interested in applying for Caregiver Catalyst Grants and/or Catalyst SPARK Awards are invited to apply here. For the Catalyst SPARK Award, you MUST submit an Invention Disclosure Form (IDF) to Innovations.

FAQs

What makes a strong application? The Screening Committees and reviewers for all of these programs are looking for the following components to strengthen an application: Did you include planned outcomes communicated through SMART goals? (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound) Is the reach and intensity of the impact of this project stated in the application? Does the story resonate with the donors who fund these programs? Is your budget appropriate and comprehensive? Will you be able to hit measurable milestones within the allotted funding cycle? Does the application address a relevant clinical need? What happens after I apply? Each program's committee will evaluate your application against the requirements and guidelines of the funding programs. If selected for funding, you will be notified of next steps from the individual program(s). Why was the application process combined for multiple programs? There are many donor-sponsored internal funding opportunities across the enterprise. We found an easier way for you to find the right funding for your project. The combined process maximizes every caregiver's potential for project funding. The next opportunities to apply are Feb. 13, 2023 – March 24, 2023 and Aug. 14, 2023 – Sept. 25, 2023. Don't delay – The deadline for the Caregiver Catalyst Grants Winter cycle is March 24, 2023. Caregivers Apply Here Caregivers Apply Here Facebook Twitter YouTube Instagram LinkedIn Pinterest Snapchat
