It spawns around the central island after you have defeated the ender dragon. Other portals open up around the outer islands as well, but these are randomly generated. Up to 20 end gateways can be spawned all over the central island. These portals will send the player to the outer islands, and the outer islands also have gateways that will return the player to the central island. A group of 20 end gateways spawn around the edges of the central island, one at a time after defeating the dragon. Their placements resemble a perfect circle and they are equally distributed around the island at a distance of 96 blocks from the center. Outer Islands All the 20 gateways that spawn on the central island spawn additional gateways that are connected to themselves after they are activated. These gateways are located farther away in the outer islands of the End dimension. Their main function is to send the player back to the original gateway in the central island. Usually, they will generate at any Y-level that is above 30, and always above a block of End stone. Appearance and behavior When the gateway is generated, a magenta beam shoots out vertically from the top and bottom of it. This beam will disappear after 10 seconds. When an entity enters the gateway, a purple beam is emitted for 2 seconds. This purple beam is also beamed every 2 minutes (2400 ticks) even if no entity is being teleported. The only way to enter the gateway is to either fly in with elytra or use an ender pearl, because of the arrangement of the bedrock blocks’ placement. Another way is by the construction of a water channel that leads into the portal, and the player can sprint-swim through it. Once activated, another gateway will be generated in the outer End Island close to where the player is teleported. This new gateway will teleport the player back to the original gateway which allows the player to return to the main island. Conclusion End gateways are a great way to travel in between End Islands after you have defeated the Ender Dragon. Since they are made of bedrock blocks, they are unbreakable. Since a new gateway opens up every time you kill the Ender Dragon, you can generate up to twenty of these gateways to End Islands, and by connecting the End islands you can make your journey across them easier and more convenient FAQs Q Where do I find an End gateway A. End gateways are located in the Nether. Q What happens when you go through an End Gateway A. When an entity enters the End gateway, it will emit a purple beam and teleport the entity to an End Island. Q Will End Gateways take me to End Cities A. Though they will not take you directly to the cities themselves, the gateways will teleport you to the islands where you can find End cities. Thanks! Help us improve this page Edit Rate this Content!
