If India make a comeback and win the series by 2-1, their tally will increase to 129 points, taking them above the No.1 ranked England team. On the other side, if South Africa win the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series by 3-0, they can jump to the ninth spot. Since the Proteas have forfeited their home series against Australia, the ongoing series against India is of utmost importance for them.
