The Daily Breeze recently wrote abpity Torrance Memorial Medical Center, a Cedars-Sinai affiliate, and its new 38,000-square-foot cancer center that will open for patients in December. The Donald and Priscilla Hunt Cancer Center, a collaboration with Cedars-Sinai, will provide patients with access to subspecialists who treat more than 60 types of common, rare and complex cancers. "Torrance Memorial and Cedars-Sinai will share expertise, innovations and resources to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes and offer them the opportunity to participate in clinical trials," Theodorescu told the Daily Breeze. The Daily Breeze reported that the cancer center's namesakes are Manhattan Beach resident Priscilla Hunt and her late husband, Donald Hunt. The new facility also will offer an expanded number of clinical trials. For convenience and privacy, the cancer center building is equipped with an underground parking garage for patients.
