Fardad Michael Serry MS View Bio Fardad Michael Serry MS Fardad Michael Serry is interested in areas where medicine and physics intersect. He has over 20 years of experience with imaging instruments (scanning probe microscopes, SPM): technology and application development, computational modelling, signal and image processing, and user training and education. He received master's degrees in physics and electrical engineering/computer science, respectively, from the University of New Mexico and the University of Illinois. He has one patent, and his publications include two (Thomson-Reuters rated) high-impact, peer-reviewed journal papers on Casimir forces in microelectromechanical systems. John Van Dyke BS View Bio John Van Dyke BS John Van Dyke earned his bachelor's degree in physics and astronomy from Northern Arizona University. As a teacher's assistant in analytical mechanics, he consulted in research for several published papers. His primary research interest is in novel MR techniques, particularly in developing software for signal processing. Class of 2020 Adebola Aragbaye BS View Bio Adebola Aragbaye BS Adebola Aragbaye studied physics and electronics (BSC) at Adekunle Ajasin, University of Nigeria. He has a Master of Science in Medical Physics from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Adebola's research interests includes the planning of radiotherapy treatment using MRI images and research on image-guided high-dose brachytherapy using MRI optimizing accurate dose delivery. After graduation, Adebola will continue his PhD research in the fight against cancer as well as early detection from cellular level of cells and treatments. Taylor Beaulieu BS View Bio Taylor Beaulieu BS Taylor Beaulieu graduated at University of California, Riverside with a bachelor's degree in physics. His primary research interests are focused on developing deep-learning techniques to improve medical image analysis. After earning his master's degree, Taylor hopes to continue school to pursue a PhD. Karandeep Cheema BS View Bio Karandeep Cheema BS Karandeep Cheema (Karan) graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 2017. His passion is applying physics in action (i.e., using it practically), which inspired him to join the master's program in Medical Imaging at Cedars-Sinai. He is excited to work with world class researchers who use state of the art equipment to help image the body and develop novel imaging techniques. His primary research interests lie in using deep learning software to quantify the health of an organ/organ system and hence, produce faster, objective and more accurate diagnosis. After finishing his master's program, he plans to obtain the doctoral degree in the field of biomedical engineering or be employed and work for Siemens. Meng Lyu BS VIEW BIO Meng Lyu BS Meng Lyu graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in Bio-medical Engineering in 2017. Meng Lyu established the interests in MR science during the summer intern experience at Chinese PLA General Hospital which lead him to Join the Master of Science in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He interests in MR sequences programming target to various disease and tissues. After the program, Meng intends to pursue a doctoral degree in a bio-medical engineering related field. Matthew Minton, BS, MS VIEW BIO Matthew Minton BS MS Matthew Minton, graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a bachelors and master's in physics. He is concurrently working towards a Master of Science in Neuroengineering from the University of Southern California while enrolled in the master's program at Cedars-Sinai. After this program, he has plans of pursuing a PhD in EE/BioE or a fourth master's degree in robotics while working at a research and development lab at a biotech company as a physics engineer or research scientist.
