Our efforts have been focused on broad clinical applications, including non-invasive diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases without injection of contrast medium, treatment response evaluation in atherosclerosis-induced ischemic stroke, imaging-guided radiation therapy of cancers, early detection of neurodegenerative diseases. The mission of the program is to develop innovative, accurate, and reliable MR imaging solutions to achieve precise disease management. The Fan Laboratory is affiliated with the Cedars-Sinai Biomedical Imaging Research Institute and the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Personal Statement Dr. Fan is Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences and Technical Director of 3-Tesla MRI of the Research Imaging Core at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also Professor-in-Residence of Departments of Medicine and Bioengineering at UCLA. His career as a magnetic resonance (MR) imaging scientist has been focused on the development and clinical translation of novel MR methods for fast and precise assessment of human diseases. Zhaoyang Fan, PhD Breakthrough Research Areas Development of novel MR techniques for neurovascular imaging. Development of novel MR techniques for guiding radiation therapy of cancer.
