At Cedars-Sinai, you can meet with a chaplain, participate in Christian and Catholic services in the chapel, and view religious and holiday programming on Cedars-Sinai TV. Weekly Services Other Spiritual Care Services Information for Jehovah s Witnesses Advance Healthcare Directives Weekly Services You can attend Christian services in the chapel, located on the Plaza Level, between the North and South towers. These services and other special events may also be viewed on Cedars-Sinai closed-circuit TV on Channel 50. Services in the Chapel The Cedars-Sinai chapel is open 24 hours a day to patients, visitors and employees. Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated four times a week. Christian fellowship and worship servicess take place every Wednesday. We provide Bibles, devotional cards and rosaries on request. Please note that all services are broadcast live on Channel 50. Catholic Mass are held: Sunday, 1:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12 p.m. (noon) Christian holidays Christian services are held: Wednesday, 1-1:30 p.m. Christian holidays VIEW INTERACTIVE MEDICAL CENTER MAP Other Spiritual Care Services As a Christian, your faith is important to you. Cedars-Sinai provides services and religious items so you can continue in your faith while here. We offer: Communion Emergency baptisms New Testaments and Bibles Sacrament of Reconciliation Anointing of the sick Prayers for the dead Devotional reading and prayer cards Rosaries Assistance contacting your pastor, parish priest or an outside clergy member Visits from Spiritual Care team volunteers Inspirational and holiday programs on Channel 50 "Music for Healing" by volunteer singers Information for Jehovah s Witnesses Jehovah's Witnesses may want input about using blood and blood products, as well as information about non-blood alternatives. To request a visit from a Jehovah’s Witness Hospital Liaison Member or Patient Visitation Representative, please call the Spiritual Care office at 310-423-5550. Advance Healthcare Directives By completing an advance healthcare directive, you can clearly state your healthcare goals, values and preferences. An advance healthcare directive allows you to share with your care team and loved ones what is most important to you when thinking about your health—and gives you greater peace of mind. Review these forms and resources. Talk with your doctor, your family and your rabbi or spiritual adviser, and work with them to complete your advance healthcare directive. That way, your care team and those most dear to you can honor your healthcare decisions.
