Ashley Pena, M.D., is a Neurologist at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. She specializes in movement disorders and treats conditions such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, multiple system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, and corticobasal degeneration. She performs botulinum toxin injections for focal dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and spasticity with the capability of utilizing electromyographic (EMG) guidance. She also specializes in clinical neurophysiology and uses the techniques of electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) to perform highly specialized movement neurophysiology studies to evaluate movement disorders such as tremor and myoclonus. Additional clinical interests include deep brain stimulation for movement disorders, electroencephalography interpretation, resident education, and hospital inpatient neurology. Dr. Pena completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia before moving to Arizona for the rest of her training. She completed her transitional intern year and neurology residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona, where she served as a chief resident.
