About this book

Das Buch gibt praktische Ratschläge bei Infektionsproblemen in Klinik und Praxis. Es basiert auf den langjährigen Erfahrungen der Autoren in der Infektionsdiagnostik, der konsiliarischen Beratung von Ärzten und in der Ausbildung von Medizinstudenten. Der Stoff ist nach Organsystemen "von Kopf bis Fuß" geordnet. Dem behandelnden Arzt wird es so erleichtert, den Symptomen der Patienten die wahrscheinlichsten Erreger zuzuordnen und daraus die adäquate Diagnostik und Therapie abzuleiten. Darüber hinaus werden spezielle Themen wie nosokomiale Infektionen, Zoonosen, postinfektiöse Folgekrankheiten und Infektionen bei besonderen Patientengruppen wie Schwangeren, Kindern und Immundefizienten behandelt. In einem Antiinfektiva-Teil werden die wichtigsten Antibiotika, Antimykotika, Virustatika und antiparasitären Chemotherapeutika charakterisiert.
