About this book

Die Motivationen für die Berufswahl ‚Lehramt‘ sind vielfach untersucht worden. Dieser Forschungsstand erhält mit der vorliegenden Studie neue Impulse: Aus biographischer und bildungssoziologischer Perspektive werden die Studien- und Berufsentscheidungen künftiger Musiklehrerinnen und -lehrer rekonstruiert. Es wird anhand von Einzelfallrekonstruktionen gezeigt, dass sich der ‘Berufswunsch Musiklehrer‘ im Verlauf der Lebensgeschichten in engem Zusammenhang mit den musikalischen Tätigkeiten und Erfahrungen – in einem Spannungsfeld von aktiver Musik(re)produktion, dem Herkunftsmilieu und (pädagogischer) Musikvermittlung im späteren Beruf – entwickelt. Mit diesem Zuschnitt wird die biographische Perspektive für die Betrachtung von Studien- und Berufsentscheidungen gestützt.
