Dieser Band behandelt das weite Gebiet der organisch bedingten psychischen Störungen. Einleitend werden die Grundlagen der psychoorganischen Syndromlehre, der Neuropsychologie, Neurophysiologie und Neuroradiologie abgehandelt. Der Hauptteil des Bandes beschreibt in mehreren Beiträgen alle wichtigen Gruppen psychiatrischer Krankheiten, die organisch bedingt sind. Ein Bericht über den gegenwärtigen Stand der Schlafforschung beschließt den Band. Insgesamt wird mit diesem Band ein zusammenfassender Überblick über ein Thema vermittelt, das trotz seiner großen epidemiologischen Bedeutung seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr im Vordergrund des psychiatrischen Interesses gestanden hat.
