Angesichts steigender Umweltbelastungen sehen sich Unternehmen mehr und mehr gefordert, Beiträge zum Umweltschutz zu leisten. Im Rahmen präventiver Umweltschutzkonzepte erhält die Entwicklung ökologischer Produkte eine zentrale Bedeutung. Daniela Triebel entwickelt ein Konzept für ein ökologisch vertretbares und ökonomisch tragbares Industriedesign. Die Autorin erarbeitet wesentliche Gestaltungsprinzipien ökologischen Industriedesigns für Konsumgüterhersteller und zeigt die für eine Implementierung notwendigen organisatorischen Voraussetzungen auf. Vor dem Hintergrund aktueller Tendenzen im Konsumentenverhalten hinterfragt sie die marktliche Durchsetzbarkeit ökologischen Industriedesigns und gibt konkrete Anregungen zur marktgerechten Gestaltung ökologischer Produkte.
