A Study to Evaluate a Health and Wellness Coaching Model in Support of Caregivers of Patients with Advanced Lung Cancers

Jacksonville, Fla. Piloting the BeWell360-CG model, in conjunction with usual care delivery for lung cancer patients in Palliative Care, will longitudinally improve the wellbeing and quality of life of care givers within and outside of clinical care settings, in such a way as to positively impact the quality of care of patients themselves. We hypothesize that PC staff trained in the BeWell360-CG will be able to identify the most common CG-centric needs and guide CGs to improve their QoL and personal wellbeing. In doing so, we further hypothesize that there will be an improvement in patient-reported and quality of care outcomes. The objective of this proposal is to pilot a novel, scalable, user-friendly HWC care model– the BeWell360-CG— that is embedded and integrated as part of a palliative approach to care for CGs of patients with advanced lung cancer.

A Study to Evaluate Immunotherapy for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate safety/tolerability and immunogenicity of IMU-201 as monotherapy and in combination with an immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) or an ICI and chemotherapy in participants with advanced NSCLC tumors that are positive for PD-L1, and to identify the Optimal Biological Dose (OBD) of IMU-201 as monotherapy and in combination with an ICI, or an ICI and chemotherapy, in participants with advanced NSCLC tumors that are positive for PD-L1.

A Study to Evaluate RheOx Bronchial Rheoplasty System to Treat Chronic Bronchitis in Adults with COPD

Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of Bronchial Rheoplasty for the treatment of the symptoms of chronic bronchitis in adult COPD patients with moderate to severe chronic bronchitis.

A Study to Analyze Potential Long-term Treatments for Covid-19 Recovery

Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. This study aims to further understand the extent of long term effects of COVID-19 via batteries of self-assessment questionnaires focused on the most common complications of SARS-COVID 19 infections including respiratory and cardiovascular symptoms, frailty, fatigue, exercise capacity, cognitive and emotional functionality, and overall quality of life. Furthermore, we will investigate the impact of 4 weeks of respiratory muscle training and nasal breathing on the above mentioned long-term Covid-19 disease complications.

A Study to Compare Transverse Diagnostic Methods in Pediatric Patients After Polysomnogram for Diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Rochester, Minn. The primary purpose of this study is to analyze maxillary transverse dimensions in children who have completed polysomnography (PSG), using McNamara’s Criteria and Andrew’s Six Elements.

Impulse Oscillometry in Idiopathic Subglottic StenosisCap

Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to describe impulse oscillometry (IOS) in patients with symptomatic idiopathic subglottic stenosis (iSGS). The study will also compare IOS findings in patients with iSGS with IOS findings in patients with small airways obstruction and in healthy controls.

Influence of Immunosuppresion on Lung Iron Content in Pneumonia

Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of the study is to see whether lung concentrations of iron and a protein that binds iron are influenced by the presence of pneumonia. Increased amounts of iron in the lungs may promote the growth or microorganisms and may influence the severity of lung injury caused by an infection. We are comparing the amount of iron that accumulates in the lungs in response to pneumonia in different types of patients.

A Study to Evaluate Whether Probiotics for Gut Microbiome Will Target Cancer Immune Microenvironment in Breast and Lung Cancer

Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether engineering gut microbiome using probiotics will alter host immunological response to breast and lung cancers.

The Assessment of Prednisone In Remission Trial - Centers of Excellence Approach

Rochester, Minn. This study is a multi-center randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effects of using low-dose prednisone as compared to stopping prednisone treatment entirely. Participants will be randomized 1:1 to taper their prednisone dose down to 5 mg/day or to 0 mg/day for the duration of the study (approximately six months) or until a study endpoint.

A Study to Evaluate the Safety Tolerability Pharmacokinetics and Anti-tumor Activity of WSD0922-FU

Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) of WSD0922-FU in subjects with recurrent glioblastoma, IDH wildtype (GBM), anaplastic astrocytoma, IDH wildtype (AA) and CNS metastases of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
