Bret Michaels Is Selling His Lovemobile

Dec. 04, 2021 7:55 PM ET by Jake Lingeman Auctions / 2 Comments It's a 2007 Bentley Continental GT, and we'll assume it's been sterilized. Glam rocker, reality show TV star and possible long-hair haver Bret Michaels is selling his used 2007 Bentley Continental GT at the 2022 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction next month (where they'll also be selling a Neiman Marcus GMC Hummer EV). The star of Rock of Love will be part of the company's 50th anniversary celebration. Michaels will donate a portion of the proceeds to his nonprofit Life Rocks Foundation. "Bret has long been a part of the Barrett-Jackson family," said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. "Bret first sold a car at Barrett-Jackson during our 40th anniversary in Scottsdale, creating a level of energy in the arena that only a legend like Bret could and then returned to our 45th anniversary with an incredible concert and once again with vehicles that included a charitable element." Barrett-Jackson Auctions Barrett-Jackson Auctions Barrett-Jackson Auctions The Bentley Continental GT came out in 2003, making this 2007 model finished in Moonbeam Silver part of the first generation, which lasted until 2011. It was before the lighter-weight Mulliner specification came into play in 2008, but it does feature the 6.0-liter W12 hammer making 552 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. At the time, it worked with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The big B was featured in several reality TV shows, magazines and music videos under Michaels stewardship. He used it to travel often between Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Scottsdale. It also has custom chrome 19-inch wheels, which we could take or leave. Barrett-Jackson Auctions Barrett-Jackson Auctions Barrett-Jackson Auctions "I can't wait to bring this car to Barrett-Jackson in January," said Michaels. "I've had the pleasure of partaking in a handful of Barrett-Jackson events over the last decade since I sold my 1969 Camaro over 10 years ago and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to also be a part of their 50th anniversary celebration. This Bentley has been one of my favorite vehicles and I look forward to seeing it cross the auction block for a great cause."
Michaels is no stranger to charitable work. He's the son of a veteran and has been supporting military charities for decades, and was even given the title Humanitarian of the Year for two years in a row. The Life Rocks Foundation supports causes like childhood cancer, veterans organizations, diabetes and more. The winner, besides the car and the satisfaction of donating to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes, which Bret has lived with his whole life, also gets a signed one-of-a-kind Every Rose Has Its Thorn guitar.
