Singer' s Latest Porsche 911 Project Is A 4 0-Liter Blood Red Missile

A new Singer project doesn't come along that often, and the last one we reported on was back in February. Its latest car is called the Ottawa commission, likely referring to where the owner is located. Ottawa is also covered by rain or snow most of the year, which explains why this particular project is all-wheel-drive. This makes it a bit more user-friendly than the famous Singer DLS. The owner also chose a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated, air-cooled flat-six. It's mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine is stunning, covered in a ceramic plenum finish. Singers are known for being works of art, and this one is a perfect example. Even the engine bay received the same attention to detail as the interior. The seats are 4-way adjustable touring seats that provide additional support for long-distance trips. Singer has a reputation for attention to detail, which is true here. All of the gauge faces are black, except for the tachometer. It's finished in the same red as the exterior, and it literally goes up all the way to 11. As is the standard on every Porsche 911, the tachometer is located in the middle. The front passenger gets a Heuer lap timer to play with, and the sills and transmission tunnel are covered in the same color as the exterior. The front luggage compartment is also trimmed in Cognac with Alabaster contrast stitching. On the outside, this 911 boasts a complete carbon fiber body. It's painted Blood Red, and the lettering is made of brass. The bumperettes are made of pure nickel. Our favorite exterior feature is the cream contrasting stripes with the Porsche name. The brake calipers also match the Blood Red body, and the wheels were specified with closed lug nuts. The owner chose Michelin Pilot Sport tires to put all that power down. With this new project, Singer again demonstrates why it's the best in the restomod business. The recently unveiled Redux M3 comes close, however.
