Beautiful Buick Electra Could Be Coming To North America

Nevertheless, the products it does offer, like the Buick Enclave, are pretty sharply styled. Of course, these don't hold a candle to the amazing new concepts that the brand has revealed in other parts of the world. One of these is the Electra EV Concept, and follow-up sketches suggest that the brand is excited about the idea of a sporty crossover. Sadly, we've never been given any indication that the American market is going to get a production version of this machine, until now. Buick Canadian Intellectual Property Office A trademark for the Buick Electra name was recently registered with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. The trademark pertains to "motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles," and although we concede that the registration of this name with our northerly neighbors is no confirmation that the US will be getting the vehicle, it is promising. If the Electra is offered there, it would make sense to sell it here too. Hopefully, this is the beginning of preliminary groundwork to bring the car to life and to do so here, because the Ultium-powered concept looked like it would be a lot of fun to drive. Buick Buick When it was revealed at last year's Shanghai Auto Show, GM proposed fitting it with two electric motors to power all four wheels. Total output would be 582 horsepower, enabling a 0-62-mph sprint of just 4.3 seconds. More pertinent to a crossover is its range, and the concept had the ability to cover an estimated 410 miles on a single charge. If it does arrive here, it's not unreasonable to think that these performance figures will remain, but those butterfly doors, 23-inch wheels, and cameras as rearview mirrors would all surely be dispensed with.
