Freshly refreshed for the 2020 model year, the Audi A5 (and the sportier S5) benefits from a broad range of enhancements, some of which you can see just by looking at it. CarBuzz CarBuzz CarBuzz The grille is new, the intakes are bigger, the side sills slimmer, and diffuser reprofiled, and LED lighting features all around. The interior features new instrument and infotainment displays, and there are new colors, wheels, and packages to choose from. There's a new range of engines as well, and they've all gone 48-volt with mild-hybrid assists. The most enticing of them is the new S5 TDI, packing a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 rated at 347 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque to deliver a sub-five-second 0-62 time. And of course, there's the even more powerful RS5, which hasn't been included in this round of updates. The A5 and S5 coupes have, however, along with convertible and Sportback versions of both, proved that Audi is not about to sit back and let BMW have all the fun with the next 4 Series previewed in concept form at the same show.
