It's called the Huayra Imola, and it borrows its name from the circuit (formally known as the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari) that was once home (among others) to the San Marino and Italian grands prix. And that (along with a garage in Switzerland) is where it was presented and its first owner Oleg Egorov took delivery. But as you can see, the Imola edition has been festooned with more radical bodywork than any version of the Huayra we've seen to date. Just look at the air scoop on the roof, the longitudinal stabilizer fin, the oversized rear wing, the diffuser that looks like it's ready to smooth the ice at a hockey game, the NACA duct on the nose. It all looks like it could be designed for the forthcoming generation of Le Mans hypercars, only this one's apparently built to drive on the road. Or at least get itself to the track. He had his done up in exposed carbon fiber – a specialty of Pagani's – with orange accents and interior decor recalling Leonardo da Vinci's groundbreaking renaissance-era engineering work. But as the accompanying documents show, there will be as many as four more to be built. We've reached out to Pagani for more details, so watch this space.
