Lamborghini Urus Gets Insane Power Boost

The Lamborghini Urus is already one of the most savage SUVs on the market, but German tuner DMC has developed a new tuning kit that makes it look more aggressive and gives it a substantial power boost. Whereas the standard Urus is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 640 horsepower, DMC has managed to extract 800 hp from the high-performance SUV. Torque has also increased from 627 lb-ft to 674 lb-ft, while tops peed has increased by three-tenths of a second, which now takes only 3.3 seconds. DMC DMC DMC To give the Urus an even more aggressive appearance, the body has been extended by 2.36 inches on each side, meaning this Urus is 4.72 inches wider than the standard version. While some wide body kits can spoil the design of a car, DMC's body extension is well integrated and looks like it could be a factory option. Each arch had to be divided into 3-4 sub-panels, with each following the Urus' original body split lines. Each panel consists of Aircell, a new "amazingly strong" material made in Sweden that consists of 95 percent air. At the front, customers can choose a carbon-fiber hood that's been re-engineered with two vents, which not only looks aggressive but also improves the engine cooling. It's also lighter than the standard hood, resulting in improved performance. The photos show the painted version, but DMC will also offer a model in forged carbon fiber. Elsewhere, DMC has fitted an elegant trunk spoiler that attaches under the rear window and improves windflow and downforce. It can be ordered either in the original body color or in forged carbon. DMC DMC DMC Rounding off the visual changes are custom wheels available in 22-inch or 24-inch sizes. The latter are ultra-light, forged wheels measuring 10×24 inches and 12.5×24 inches at the front and rear respectively, and the rims can be painted individually. DMC has also developed a performance exhaust system that improves throttle response and reduces weight. Pricing for DMC's new Lamborghini Urus wide body kit start at $9,990, while the complete package including the wheels, carbon fiber components, exhaust and ECU tune will set you back $59,990.
