Aston Martin happens to have not one but two mid-engined models in development, the Valkyrie and Valhalla hypercars. Both are born from the UK marque's collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, meaning there are heavy doses of Formula 1-derived tech throughout each one. The Valkyrie is already being claimed as the closest thing ever to a street-legal F1 race car. The Valhalla just made its North American debut (as a "dynamic concept") this weekend at Pebble Beach. To further spotlight the pair, Aston Martin hotshot test driver Chris Goodwin put both through their paces at the UK's Silverstone racing circuit. Although both programs are not fully done with development, Aston Martin obviously feels confident about showing off each hypercar. Power will come from a new twin-turbo V6 with hybrid assistance, but official output specs haven't been revealed. We honestly wouldn't be surprised to learn the Valhalla offers around 1,000 horsepower. Thanks to heavy doses of lightweight carbon fiber throughout, the hypercar will weigh only around 2,976 pounds, or about 500 pounds more than a Mazda MX-5 Miata. Pricing hasn't be released but expect each one to go for around $1 million.
