This Is The New Lancer Evo Mitsubishi Will Never Build

It was a sad day when Mitsubishi discontinued the legendary Lancer Evolution. The last version of the Japanese sports car was the Final Edition launched back in 2015. And while Mitsubishi hasn't ruled out reviving the Evo name, it will most likely be applied to an SUV, just like the Eclipse was reborn as a crossover. As much as we would love to see a Mitsubishi Evo XI sports sedan, it probably isn't going to happen. Enter Dytko Sport, a Polish company that specializes in building and selling replacement parts for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution rally cars. It also sports a custom vented hood and a roof scoop. Commendably, Dytko Sport has managed to incorporate elements of Mitsubishi's Dynamic Shield design language. For reference, the Lancer Evo Final Edition was powered by an upgraded version of Mitsubishi's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 303 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. The four-cylinder unit was paired with a five-speed manual gearbox that sent power to all four wheels via an all-wheel-drive system. The Lancer Edition R will be revealed next weekend, so we should find out more details about this special project soon.
