Audi To Preview Future Of In-Car Entertainment At CES

The Audi A8 flagship sedan may have one of the most technologically advanced interiors on the market, but the automaker will offer a glimpse into the future of in-car entertainment at the CES technology show in Las Vegas between January 8 and 11, 2019. The automaker says it will "present a completely new on-the-road entertainment format" and a "special movie theater experience" at the show. Both technologies will represent "the in-car entertainment of the future." Audi Audi Audi's advanced on-the-road entertainment system will show how occupants will be entertained in future Audi models during long or short journeys. This technology will be equipped in the autonomous Audi vehicles of the future, as being in a self-driving car gives occupants the free time to enjoy these entertainment features. It's a contrast to other automakers that have shown how autonomous cars can be turned into mobile offices to improve productivity. "The Audi models of the future will be even more connected and therefore provide the prerequisites for an entertainment space," Audi said. "Thanks to automated driving, occupants will have 'free' time in the car in the future, in which they can use the next generation of in-car entertainment." Audi Audi Audi will also showcase what it calls "Audi Immersive In-Car Entertainment," a new entertainment format that allows occupants to watch Hollywood blockbuster movies or content provided by streaming services while the car is stationary. Audi describes the technology as the "next-generation drive-in movie theater." These new technologies will be demonstrated inside a luxury sedan at Audi's CES booth.
