Check Out The New Audi RS7 Sportback Charging Through The Snow

We last saw Audi testing the new RS7 Sportback at the Nurburgring, and now the premium sedan has been spotted tackling some snowy conditions during winter testing. But while the last prototype only had the bumper covered up in camouflage, this one has been wrapped up warm with camouflage covering the body. Like the previous prototype, the new RS7 sports wider fenders and a sportier front bumper with large air intakes, indicating this is no ordinary A4. Another giveaway that we're looking at the new RS7 are the oval exhaust tips, which typically feature on hot Audi RS models. An aggressive diffuser can also be seen between the exhaust pipes. While the wheels the RS7 are riding on are temporary, those massive brake discs and calipers should give it substantial stopping power. It's certainly going to need it, because the new RS7 is expected to be powered by an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 powertrain producing around 650 hp. All-wheel drive will come as standard, with power being sent through an eight-speed automatic. With the Performance Package installed, the current RS7 has 605 hp on tap and can hit 62 mph in 3.6 seconds. Rumors suggest a more powerful RS7 will join the line-up using the electrified powertrain from the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, which has nearly 700 hp on tap. The new RS7 will go on sale in 2019, so there's a good chance we'll see it debut at next year's Geneva Motor Show in March.
