Unique Lamborghini-Based Supercar Is One Rare Animal

When a boutique manufacturer announces a one-off supercar, we often get just one good look at it before it fades away into obscurity. Take the Lamborghini Aventador-based Kode 0, for example. The Kode 0 was initially shown off at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and later went on to make an appearance on Jay Leno's garage. After that, we didn't hear much about the one-off creation. Now, the car has been listed for sale on Classic Driver. This could be your one and only chance to buy the unique Lamborghini-based supercar. We don't know much about who owned the car previously or why it currently for sale, though we do know a fair bit about its design. It was penned by Ken Okuyama, the same man who designed the Ferrari Enzo and another one-off called the Kode 57. Underneath the unique body sits an unmodified Lamborghini Aventador. This means the Kode 0 is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 sending 700 horsepower to all-wheel-drive through a seven-speed single-clutch transmission. Even the interior looks stock, save for some unique green accents and shiny silver leather. While the engine and interior may be the same, the Kode 0 is massively different from an Aventador on the outside. Other than the doors, which still open upwards, the Aventador body panels been completely replaced with carbon fiber. Most of the panels are painted silver but the front fenders were left unpainted to show off the carbon fiber work. The car has only been driven 1,368 miles, some of which were done by Mr. Leno himself, and is currently up for sale in Japan. Unfortunately, there is no price listed and we aren't sure whether it will be legal to drive on US roads.
