This Latest Ferrari Watch Is Worth Way More Than Your Car

Beautifully styled and constructed from hundreds of mechanical parts, there has always been a close connection between supercars and timepieces, and this latest creation from Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot continues that relationship. Designed at the Ferrari Design Center to celebrate the Italian marque's 70th anniversary, the Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph comes in three versions: King Gold, PEEK Carbon and Titanium, each limited to just 70 units. Hublot says the watch "is deeply rooted in Ferrari's DNA – combining strength, performance and agility," with the collaboration beginning with Ferrari in Maranello and finishing in Nyon with Hublot. Ferrari's Head of Design, Flavio Manzoni, lead the new Hublot's design which boasts a black PVD Titanium insert decorated with the Prancing Horse, two lateral push-buttons to change the strap finished in P485 Ferrari red, while the back cover of the case is engraved with "Limited Edition, No. XX/70" and the sapphire back is adorned with "Ferrari 70 Years." Under the hood is a new movement offering five days of power reserve. The single-button chronograph is activated via an original lever in Ferrari red anodized aluminum. The Ferrari logo is visible at 9 o'clock, Hublot's is at 5 o'clock, and a Ferrari-designed matt black block holds a race-inspired twin half-second counter at 3 o'clock, the minutes counter at 11 o'clock and the column wheel at 1 o'clock. There's no word on price but we'd hazard an educated guess it will retail for upwards of $200,000.
