A GTA Spano Replica Used In Need For Speed Has An Insane Price Tag

Based on the video game franchise of the same name, the 2014 movie was something of a tribute to old-school car movies, with a refreshing reliance on practical effects rather than the CGI which plagues modern movies. The stuntwork was spectacular, leaving many supercars wrecked, including a McLaren P1, Koenigsegg Regera and GTA Spano. But before you mourn the loss of these expensive exotics, don't worry – they were all replicas. A replica of the GTA Spano used in the movie is currently for sale on eBay. It started off as a 2003 Infiniti Q37 with 30,000 miles, which was then fitted with a custom fiberglass body in the shape of the Spano utilizing the G37's doors, windows and rear glass. The seller states that the car is registered and all of the G37 factory options are working including the rear camera, navigation, paddle shift, power seats, and power windows, as well as some optional extras. "You have the reliability of an infinity G37, with the exotic looks of a European vehicle very few people know anything about," the description reads. As well as Need for Speed, the Spanish supercar replica also appeared in a recent Pitbull music video. At the time of writing, the auction still has a few days left but no bidders. That's probably because the starting price is $95,000, which seems a bit steep for a fake GTA Spano that starred in a movie that doesn't have the mass following of The Fast and the Furious franchise. Still, it's considerably cheaper than the real Spano that was used for close-up shots in the movie which sold for $1.5 million last year.
