Two Cadillac ATS-Vs Were Sacrificed To Create This 1948 Cadillac Restomod

First unveiled last year at SEMA, the Ringbrothers' latest creation is also one of the coolest restomod examples we've ever seen. The 1948 Cadillac "Madam V" may have that classic Cadillac exterior appearance, but underneath is a different story. Not one, but two Cadillac ATS-Vs, 2015 and 2016 models, were sacrificed to make the Madam V possible, mechanically speaking. As explained by the brothers themselves in this latest Jay Leno's Garage, they began the project by completely stripping down the 2016 ATS-V and stretching its chassis by 14-inches. This allowed for the modern unibody to accommodate the post-World War II body. The ATS-V's fuel systems were left stock and all of the wiring was done only with GM approved connectors. Power comes from a new 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with 464 hp. Ringbrothers Why the V6 and not Cadillac's own V8? Because of track width. The exterior, featuring a Dodge Viper windshield, has a ton of custom work, including the rear view and side mirrors and even a roof-mounted 360-degree camera that integrates into the satellite radio antenna.
