Can' t Afford A Car From Ferrari Or Bentley How About Furniture Then

Apr. 16, 2017 6:30 AM ET by Jared Rosenholtz Offbeat / 8 Comments Do car enthusiasts really love everything car branded? Car enthusiasts love cars, not towels with BMW logos on them or Aston Martin cologne. Still, there is a huge market for car-branded stuff that seemingly comes out every year around the holiday season. Sometimes, the automakers themselves branch out and use their expertise to make office furniture and other overpriced nicknacks. We kind of like the idea of ripping parts off a wrecked car to make furniture, like an engine block coffee table, and we aren't the only ones who think this is a cool idea. Autoblog has found two awesome collections of furniture that are styled after Ferrari and Bentley. The first furniture set comes from Poltrona Frau, an upholstery house that has created interiors for Ferrari since the 1980s. The design house has built an office chair called the "Cockpit," which is wrapped in leather. The chair will come in two versions, the "President" and the "Exclusive." The former has a high backrest like a racing chair, while the latter does without the backrest. Like real Ferrari seats, the chairs use carbon fiber and can be completely customized to suit the owner's specifications. The second furniture set comes from Bentley's new home collection. The Bentley set has been designed by architect Carlo Colombo. The line consists of sofas, tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, lamps and a chaise longue. Like a Bentley car, these fixtures are made with expensive eucalyptus and maple woods as well as quilted leather. There was no word on pricing for the Ferrari or Bentley furniture, but we bet if you have to ask, you can't afford it. Now we know that rich people not only have better cars than the rest of us, but better furniture as well.
