We've seen plenty of Porsche 911s reimagined by Singer lately, but now it's the mighty Mustang's turn to get the restomod treatment. Behold the Ford Mustang GT500CS, British tuning company Clive Sutton's answer to Singer's coveted Porsche 911s. Based on an original 1967 Mustang chassis that has been reworked and rebodied to modern standards, the Mustang GT500CS is finished in Magnetic Metallic paint from Ford's contemporary color range and is adorned with black racing stripes. The iconic design has also been modernized with LED lighting. Under the hood you'll find a 520 hp, 5.4-liter V8 paired with a limited-slip differential and a five-speed manual gearbox, though a four-speed automatic is also available. It has also been updated with adjustable coil-over suspension, power steering and upgraded disc brakes. Inside, the interior has been overhauled with a complete retrim finished in high-quality black Nappa leather with dark grey stitching applied to the door panels, rear quarter panels, center console trim and dashboard. New Recaro seats have been added, while a carbon fiber dashboard, center console and LED gauges add modern elements to the vintage muscle car. Other modern creature comforts include traction control, a premium sound system, and a touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay. The first customer GT500CS took ten months to complete and cost £250,000 ($336,775) excluding the price of the donor car. Sutton expects prices to range from £190,000 ($255,949) to £300,000 ($404,130). In addition to the entry-level car shown in images on display at the recent London Motor Show, a Stage 1 Upgrade pack is also available adding a 7.0-liter V8 with fuel injection, upgraded brakes and different interior trim. The range-topper adds Inglese racing fuel injection, coilover suspension, a custom interior and upgraded seats.
