This Modified Ferrari 488 GTB Is More Powerful Than The Potent Pista

At this year's Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari unveiled the Pista, a more hardcore version of the 488 GTB supercar with a respectable 720 horsepower on tap. That's a 50-hp increase over the standard GTB. It's lighter too, thanks to an abundance of aerodynamic components lifted from Ferrari's WEC championship winning GTE car. But if you already own a 488 GTB and can't justify upgrading to the more hardcore Pista, there is happily now a solution. At the Top Marques Monaco event, Pogea Racing unveiled its take on the 488 GTB, called the 488 FPlus Corsa, featuring a slew of modifications that make it even more powerful than the potent Pista. The Italian tuner has tweaked the GTB's 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 to pump out a whopping 820 horsepower. With 100 extra ponies under the hood, the 488 FPlus Corsa will now do the 0-62 mph sprint in just 2.8 seconds, making it faster than the 488 Pista by 0.5 seconds. Top speed has also increased to 215 mph, which is a slight improvement on the GTB. While the new aerodynamic parts added to the 488 are nowhere near as advanced as the Pista's, they still give the GTB a more aggressive look. Among the carbon fiber add-ons include a large rear wing, a rear diffuser, side skirts and a carbon front splitter. Along with custom 21-inch wheels, these additions have shed 93 pounds off the standard supercar's weight. The downside? Availability is extremely limited: only 20 Ferrari 488 GTBs will be fitted with the FPlus Corsa package, with prices starting at 35,000 ($43,100).
